What’s on your fall shopping list?
Maybe you’re still looking for back-to-school deals online. Or are you thinking of freshening up your dorm room or home office with some basic tools and organizing essentials?
While you’re making room improvements, don’t forget about air quality. We purchased this sleek HEPA air purifier from Alrocket and it works hard every day to pull allergens and grime out of the air. With an easy-to-replace filter, it doesn’t produce any harmful emissions and is asthma-friendly. The Alrocket can filter particles as small as 0.3 microns and air pollution of PM 2.5. It’s available at Walmart.com and you can score free shipping if you have a Walmart+ membership!
Speaking of organization, nothing beats a sleek, compact personal diary from Filofax. This iconic company has been around for 100 years and offers an array of personal organizers to keep you on point. Shop at Pen Heaven and customize your Filofax with journal pages, coloured note paper, calendar refills and more.
Be sure to check the summer clearance and back-to-school bargains at Christianbook.com because you can almost always score FREE shipping and get the books you need at the lowest prices around. Their packages arrive quickly, too!
If you’re a pen snob, start the school year off right with one of Caran d’Ache’s new Limited Edition garnet ballpoint pens. Elegantly packaged in a signature metal case and is perfect for gift giving, or just to treat yourself.
Brush up on math skills this fall, or just add one of Amazon’s popular new releases to your family game night – PlaySmart Dice, Deluxe Edition. Back with a brand new look, the award-winning STEM dice game uses a uniquely numbered dice system with a number of games ranging from simple to complex, covering a broad range of ages.
We are using this game in our home school to sharpen math concepts and work on weak skills. It’s a versatile set, with 11 different games to choose from, and I recommend using for ages 5 and up.
It’s just $12.95 with free shipping on Prime.
My son, Erik, researched and requested this game and was so happy when it came in the mail this week!
Happy Little Dinosaurs is all about surviving little prehistoric disasters. The gamepieces and artwork are so cute, which I really love in a game. The first person to reach 50 points, or be the last Dinosaur standing, wins the game! During each round, players will flip a disaster card featuring a Natural, Predatory, or Emotional disaster. Each player will then play a Point card in hopes of collecting points and avoiding the disaster. Will you successfully dodge the disasters or get eaten by a prehistoric whale? Only the cards can decide…
Playtime averages about 30-45 minutes, so it’s easy to sit down and and enjoy a game with your children. Although the recommended age is 8 and up, I found that our 7-year-old daughter was able to pick it up fairly quickly.
If you’re looking for your next family game night winner, or buying Christmas presents early, definitely check out Happy Little Dinosaurs!
And here’s a fun way to get your children outside to enjoy the cooler fall weather – the Step2 Ride Along Scooter.
Ideal for ages 1 to 5 (max weight is 40 lbs), the Ride Along Scooter has a sleek, vintage-inspired design with chrome accents and wheel well details. Comfortable to ride, it has built-in features to help toddlers stay balanced and practice their driving and steering skills. I can attest to its durability, too; this scooter is made to last! And I love that it has rear storage space so children can take along their favorite book or toy or snack. Made in the USA and available now at TeeTurtle, or for a discounted price on Amazon with FREE Prime shipping.
Are you expecting a baby or have a friend or family who is? The KeaBabies collection is just the thing to spoil a new mother and baby!
Wrap your little one in comfort at with cuddly organic bamboo hooded towels. Pair that with buttery soft organic washcloths and your baby will really feel spoiled at bath time. When it’s time for meals and snacks, keep messes at a minimum with stylish and easy-to-wash organic bandana bibs. And don’t forget a mother’s most essential tool for the early days – a soft and absorbent burp cloth. KeaBabies makes theirs out of organic cotton which is perfect up against the delicate skin of your baby’s face.
Have you heard of Carrera Revell, the leading producer of slot racing sets? When it’s too cold or rainy to play outside, your children are going to love zooming their cars down the Racing System Speed Trap and the Go!! Build and Race sets.
Customize the race track with building blocks and your own imagination to build the racecourse of your dreams. The Carrera GO!!! set includes 11.81 feet of track, plus a red truck and blue race car.
The slot car Speed Trap is a battery powered set featuring a really fun jump ramp, a race car and a police pursuit vehicle. Hitting scaled speeds of up to 370-mph is no problem for the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro Sheriff as they speed around this 14.10-ft. long track!
And once your child is hooked on Carrera, he can continue to build and customize by purchasing additional track expansion packs, cars, and accessories. The possibilities are endless!
