Diaper Rite’s economical cotton and bamboo flats diapers are available exclusively at Diaper Junction.
From now until May 31st, you have the chance to win a package of 100% cotton Diaper Rite flats, plus a chic “Dalmatian” Best Bottom waterproof diaper cover. It’s a great combo to get started with simple diapering!
After you enter my giveaway, check out all the other giveaways (bottom of this post) in this Come What May hop, hosted by Danielle at Mama the Fox Blog.
Flats aren’t just cheap and easy to clean, they are versatile. You can pad fold in a cover. Or, use your favorite fold (see below).
If you like trying new flat folds, consider this super simple one that I adapted for my babies and call the Custom Fold. It is definitely one of the easiest you’ll find PLUS you get to choose the width and length that you want.
There are only 4 steps:
Let me know if you’ve tried flat diapers yet, and if you’re doing the Flats & Handwashing Challenge this year. Or, just share your favorite fold and I’ll check it out!
In 2016, we took the flats challenge and learned a lot! Here are my posts:

Giveaway: I’m giving a 6-pack of 100% cotton Diaper Rite flats, plus a Dalmatian Best Bottom cover. This is open to US residents only. Good luck!
Joanne Frappier says
We’re pretty new to cloth, 6 months in, and we love it. I’ve recently tried prefolds and covers and was surprised at how much I love it. I was intimidated by them at first. Seeing how much I like prefolds, I’m thinking I’d like flats also. I’m diapering through a loan program so building our own stash is slow going. Thanks for a shot at winning a set of flats to try.
Nina says
I used flats during the winters and handwashed them for my older two. The pipes would freeze to the washer so I wouldn’t be able to use it….flat as dried and cleaned so easily it made more sense to use them.

Trena says
My fiance and I are getting married in August. I’ve heard of cloth diapers, and Im wanting to try them. We plan on having 2 children. Our hope is to teach them about the enviornment and why we chose cloth diapers when they get older. Of course we also want to try and save money, because I plan on being a stay at home mom until they start school (or so that’s the plan). However the start up of cloth diapers is intimidating, and I don’t know if we’re going to be able to afford cloth diapers.
Anne says
Congratulations on your upcoming marriage, Trena! I suggest buying cloth diapers a little at a time to get started. They are very affordable this way, especially if you slowly build a small collection of covers, and then maybe a pack or two of flats or prefolds. This can be done over the course of many months, or even a year, until you have everything you need. ~Anne Marie
