My journey with H3idiho Designs began several years ago, when I was first introduced to Heidi’s handmade, natural jewelry and teethers. Recently, she revamped and re-stocked her shop, and invited me to help her spread the word! We also received some complimentary items to review and share with you.

If I could use three words to describe H3idiho they would be: simple, beautiful and affordable. Heidi makes it easy and fun for families to enjoy earth-friendly jewelry and toys, and most of her designs are under $10.00.
My Natural Wood Teething Necklace, features a little bird pendent on an organic cotton cord. If your child wants to hold it or teeth on it while you’re wearing, no problem. The smooth, unfinished wood isn’t treated with any chemicals or waxes. Choose from an assortment of pendants and cord colors; whatever you go with, it’s a lovely piece that coordinates with many different looks.
If you’re into natural minerals, there’s an eclectic selection of smooth polished stones on organic cord. Featured here are sparkly Blue Goldstone and heart-shaped Jasper. As with the wooden necklace pendant featured above, both of these necklaces can safely go into a curious baby’s mouth while you’re holding or nursing him/her. The materials are safe, non-toxic and highly durable.
And then I got to try something completely new to me – an Essential Oil Lava Bead Necklace. Because the lava beads are textured and pitted, you can dab a few drops of essential oil on them, and enjoy the subtle aromatherapy all day long (I tried both lavender and sweet orange). Heidi’s necklace is accented with wooden beads, and there are five pendant colors to choose from. How neat is it to wear a statement necklace that also has diffuser capabilities?
You can also wear the beautiful lava bead necklace as is, without essential oils added. This is what I would recommend if you have a child who’s likely going to be biting or chewing it.
And don’t forget the little ones! From her toy and teether collection, Heidi sent 3-year-old Ingrid this whimsical little wood lacing set with non-toxic rainbow colored buttons (you can also opt for natural, unpainted wood). The end of the cord is dipped in red silicone to stiffen it for easier lacing, and prevent fraying. This cute little set is only $7.95, and you can even customize the colors!
The colorful buttons are sized just right for small hands, and Ingrid keeps her little toy secure in the drawstring cloth bag that Heidi included.
There are so many wonderful things at H3idiho Designs, it’s hard to pick a favorite! And I love that Heidi is flexible with options, so you can get exactly what you want in terms of colors, designs and closure style (adjustable or clasp).
