You might already know about BabyComfyCare’s baby nail clippers, teething jewelry and aspirator, but have you seen their new nursing shawl? It’s a stylish and lightweight cover-up that doubles as a poncho, stroller cover and sun shade. I received a complimentary Baby Comfy Cover in the Starry Night print (gray with tiny white dots) in exchange for an honest review. You can also enter to win a Baby Comfy Cover of your own using the entry form below, as part of the Feelin’ Lucky Giveaway Hop hosted by MamatheFox.
Here are the basic features of the Baby Comfy Cover:
- 360 degree privacy
- Poncho-like styling with a stretchy peek-a-boo neckline
- Soft, silky fabric (13% spandex and 87% polyester)
- Breathable and hypoallergenic
- UPF 50+ Cocona fabric
- Doubles as a sun protective car seat or stroller cover
- Retails for $35
The shawl measures about 29″ from the lowest part of the neckline to the very tip of the hem. Where it will fall on you when worn will depend on your height. I’m about 5 feet, 6 inches. There are openings for your arms to go through on either side, but you can just throw it on without using the arm openings, if you want.
I use the shawl mainly as a nursing cover for newborn Mary Kate. The thin, silky fabric feels wonderful and I like that the neutral gray color goes well with most of my wardrobe. It folds up really small for my diaper bag and the poly/spandex fabric never wrinkles. Nice! Another discovery: it doesn’t hold onto stains and is really easy to clean. It will machine dry in a snap, but line drying is pretty quick, too.
If you aren’t nursing, there are other ways to use the Baby Comfy Cover:
- Car seat cover
- Stroller cover
- Sun poncho (UPF 50+ sun protection blocks more than 98% of UVA & UVB rays)
In my mind, the only drawback to the Baby Comfy Cover is the generous amount of coverage it provides, which may be too much for nursing mothers who want something smaller, or babies who don’t like to be covered with fabric. Personally, I appreciate more protection, and (so far) Mary Kate doesn’t mind being partially covered up at all, so it works really well for our needs. And while you may not like the idea of pulling something over your head, you don’t actually have to “wear” the Baby Comfy Cover. It’s so generously sized that you can simply throw it over your shoulder for a quick cover-up.
Where to Buy: You can shop for the Baby Comfy Cover directly from Baby Comfy Care. Sign up for emails to receive 20% off your first purchase.
Giveaway: Baby Comfy Care is giving away a nursing shawl/cover up to one lucky reader. Winner chooses between Starry Night and Latte. This promotion is open to US residents only and ends at midnight on March 15th. Good luck!

I am so glad you added a “like a twitter post” for an entry! I liked 5 posts for that. Twitter has locked me out now twice for doing all the retweets I do for giveaways! They said it is suspicious activity. They are so stupid.

I had no idea you could get locked out for a lot of retweets, but I’m glad now that I changed the entry to either a re-tweet or a heart. Thanks, Barb! ~Anne

I have tried babycomfynose. It’s a great product, but other people think it’s a little weird, haha! So much better than using a nasal aspirator though!
