Bamboosa’s “Soft on you, easy on the Earth” bamboo apparel is made in the USA of luxurious organic fabric, and their product line-up includes everything from women’s shirts and sleepwear to baby accessories like blankets and towels.
We received three items to review from the baby bed and bath collection: a hooded towel, a set of washcloths and a set of burp cloths. All three are made from the same silky soft bamboo fabric. The hooded towel and washcloths are the newest color which is called Creamsicle; it reminds me of those tasty orange frozen push pops we ate as children. The hood is a contrasting natural white color. Made in the USA of 80% viscose from organic bamboo and 20% rPET (recycled polyester from soda bottles), the towel and washcloths are super soft and silky. The towel is reversible whereas the wipes have a terry side and a smooth side; the terry material is a very fine gauge, perfect for a baby’s skin (or anyone else in the family who likes a little pampering).Measuring 30×30, the towel is a really nice size. It provides enough coverage for a toddler, and more than enough softness to wrap up a tiny newborn in. The bamboo material does not need to be pre-washed, so you can enjoy it right out of the box.
Honestly, I have never had a towel this beautiful and luxurious before; it’s all I use now for Ingrid! And I love that Bamboosa is a husband and wife endeavor, where two people have pooled their talents and resources to offer exceptional, USA-made products.
Bamboosa’s burp cloths are a unique contoured shape and have folding lines which helps it to drape perfectly against your neck and over your shoulders. The 70% organic bamboo/30% cotton jersey fabric is supremely soft and buttery smooth. I’ve used old diapers and even flour sack towels as burp cloths in the past; Bamboosa cloths are worlds apart in terms of quality and softness. And they come in packs of 5 assorted pastel colors. My set included Tahiti Blue, Purely Natural and Sprout Green; each burp cloth is accented with a little panda bear graphic. And just like the wash cloths and towel that I’ve been testing, the burp cloths get softer and softer as you wash them.
Everyone who sees and feels the burp cloths asks me “Where did you get these??”
