If someone in your family is taking medication that has been prescribed for the short term, like a 10-day antibiotic, here is an easy way to keep track of the doses given. It also helps you remember how many total doses are needed before you toss the bottle:
Using a permanant marker, make columns on the bottle equivalent to the frequency of dosing. For example, if the medication is taken twice a day, draw two columns and label them “A.M.” and “P.M.” Down the other side, create rows equivalent to the number of days the medicine will be administered.
I used to keep track of my children’s medicines on pieces of paper, but they often get misplaced, or I forget to mark a dosage. When it’s right on the bottle, I’m more likely to remember!
I saw this on Facebook a long time ago (and don’t know who had this original idea), but it sure is a helpful one, so I wanted to pass it along.

I love this idea for keeping track of medicines. It lets you know that you haven’t missed a dose or if you have. I also love it for adults because with everything that goes on sometimes we can forget to take our medicines or we forget if our children have had theirs. This is a no brainer.

Great idea!! I have a mini white board on the fridge that I would track medicines on, but writing it on the bottle is even better! Thanks for linking up with Time for Mom!
