Shannon from Snugglebee sent me an incredibly beautiful and useful baby accessory a few weeks ago. It came all the way from Australia and is called a Nappy Roll. It’s a changing pad and portable diaper/wipes storage system all rolled into one.
I love the beautiful fabric!
Shannon makes the inside pockets of cute complimentary fabrics. The Snugglebee Nappy Roll, when opened up, lies completely flat and contains a waterproof area to position under baby’s bottom and two pouches for wipes, diapers or disposable liners. In the picture above, you can see the Huggies wipes container and disposable mats that are tucked inside. Shannon very generously included these items in my Nappy Roll so I could get started right away!
All of the inside pockets snap can be snapped closed, and when you roll it up completely there are snaps on the outside to secure it. The outside snaps have two settings, which is very handy when you’ve really packed a lot into the Nappy Roll.
It fits perfectly inside most standard sized diaper bags:
We’ve been using our Nappy Roll for two weeks now and I am SO impressed with how versatile it is. You can tuck whatever you want into the pockets; it doesn’t just have to be for diapers. You can fit an extra onesie (or two!) in the pockets, a bib or socks.
When we stop in for a short visit, or need to run a quick errand, I like grabbing the Nappy Roll instead of having to lug my heavy diaper bag everywhere. And it works for both disposable AND cloth diapers. Since disposables are much more trim, you can fit more in the roll. If you cloth diaper, the Nappy Roll can hold a cover and insert, or 1 pocket/AIO diaper – just enough for one change.
Here’s my Nappy Roll with an Oeko Popo and Thirsties insert tucked inside. It’s on the second snap setting:
Here’s a close-up of the inside pockets; I’ve tucked some Bumkins Flushable Diaper Liners and Itti Bitti Ultimate Wipes in there.
And here’s the area which goes under your little one’s bottom during changes. It’s a sturdy waterproof fabric which can easily be wiped clean. Shannon included a pack of disposable Huggies changing mats, which she cuts into fours to save money, and then lays under baby:
I haven’t had one problem with my Nappy Roll and am 100% satisfied so I feel confident in recommending it to you all. Shannon has been great to work with, prompt with all of our correspondence and I am very much in awe of her sewing talents!
The Snugglebee Nappy Roll is definitely a one-of-a kind product and I think it would make the most wonderful gift for a new mother. Shannon makes them to order in your choice of fabric for $42.00; if you don’t like what’s in stock, she’ll work with you to find the perfect prints and colors.
Here’s just a quick look at some of the lovely fabrics you can choose from:
Shannon also makes a very popular Snugglebee zip-up swaddle in fun, bright colors. If you have a little one that likes to be extra cozy and benefits from being securely wrapped, you might want to check one of these out.
Shannon is mother to a little baby girl, and has another on the way. Her daughter is the inspiration behind Snugglebee products. Here’s what Shannon told me: “Like many other babies, my daughter is particularly clever and would wriggle out of her wraps regardless of how tight I swaddled her. Through my quest to find a solution I decided to make what I was looking for. Since this time I have designed several other products, all of them with style and functionality in mind. Designed by a mum for your little one, Snugglebee will make life easier!”
And now here is your chance to win a Nappy Roll of your own, valued at $42.00. Good luck!

That looks fantastic!! This would totally come in handy. I have the world’s largest diaper bag, and only use like 2 things in it. I hate lugging the whole thing in when we go places.
Does this have wrist strap or a detachable shoulder strap? I usually have zero hands. 🙂
Zephyr Hill says
Heidi, I bet it would be no trouble at all for Shannon to add a custom wrist strap or detachable shoulder strap. What a GREAT idea! You might post that on her Facebook.
